"John Ditchfield is an extraordinary glassworker
whose pieces are becoming increasingly more collectable. Much of his
work is in the manner of Master glass artist, Louis Comfort Tiffany
and in fact, there is a large display of John's work alongside the
enormous Tiffany collection housed in the Haworth Art Gallery in Accrington
(tel: +44 1254 233 782). Indeed, Haworth was one of the stops on our
Burnley weekend and members were able to meet John and talk to him
about his work.
John also made two pieces specially for Club members,
one of which was raffled on the weekend; the winner of the other,
shown right, will be chosen by random by our computer - but, sorry
folks!, this one's open only to those who didn't come on the weekend.

prize pieces cost £300-400, with prices increasing beyond that according
to weight, size and complexity."
